We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join our People & Development team based at our Head Office in Old Street. This role specifically supports the Oasis brand and is based at the Oasis Head Office in Old Street.

 

The key puprose of the role is to support the Senior People Partner in the provision of a comprehensive generalist HR support to Oasis. The role will live, breathe and reinforce the brand’s culture and values.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES

 

Recruitment & Selection

  • Work alongside Managers on the recruitment, selection and induction of entry/junior/middle Manager level roles to Head Office and some Group employees
  • Educate and coach Managers in the recruitment and selection process in order to improve their interview and selection skills
  • Manage the brand’s Applicant Tracking System
  • Ensure the brand uses the most appropriate means to advertise vacancies both internally and externally
  • Reduce spend on traditionally high cost models, such as agency advertising
  • Manage the Preferred Supplier List to ensure the delivery of quality candidates at all times
  • Reduce time taken to fill vacancies
  • Ensure consistent and professional recruitment tools, incorporating up-to-date legislative requirements
  • Ensure recruitment tools ‘live the brand’
  • Check offer documentation produced by the People Assistant to ensure accuracy

Information Management

  • Evaluate and prepare stats, as and when required by the brand Leadership Team
  • Attend meetings with Heads of and Area Management Meetings to ensure greater visibility and understanding of what’s happening in the business
  • Attend weekly trading meeting and share key learnings with the team, ensuring greater visibility and understanding of what is happening within the business

 

Development

  • Design and deliver core training initiatives and solutions with the support of the Development team to improve business performance and create a strong learning and development culture
  • Support in the creation and delivery of the brand’s annual engagement survey, as well working to analyse and deliver its results

Employee Relations

  • Advise Management on more complex employee relations, LTS, performance management, policies and procedures, restructures, and practical and commercial resolutions to employee issues reflecting the business culture and environment as well as the legal framework
  • Support Retail Management with all employee relations cases in conjunction with the ER Experts, Area Managers and Global Retail Director
  • Help develop the capability of Managers in managing their people and to ensure all written correspondence produced is accurate and complies with employment law
  • Coach the People Assistant and People Team Intern to develop their skill levels
  • Hold exit interviews and share feedback with the business; where appropriate, complete exit interview analysis and ensures leaver forms are completed by relevant Manager
  • Attend external ER updates and share best practice or key learnings with the rest of the team and prepare the business for legislative changes

Talent Management

  • Identify key talent within their business area to ensure proactive succession plans are in place
  • Support development and maintenance of competencies (technical and behavioural) for the brand
  • Identify and implement ways to grow and nurture talent

Reward & Recognition

  • Develop a strong external network in order to feed in to salary and benefits benchmarking
  • Ensure accurate payroll processes are in place at all times, alongside the People Assistant
  • Support the pay review and bonus processes for Retail and Head Office
  • Design and develop incentives, where required
  • Maintain MyRewards (our flexible benefits scheme) and our employee recognition schemes in partnership with the Reward Team

Systems

  • Support Head Office and Area Managers to use MyHR effectively to ensure payroll is updated correctly, accurate reporting on absence and leaver information is produced
